How To Make Fun, Short Videos Using Animoto: by Andy Mulberry

Thank you so much, Darlene, for welcoming me to your lovely blog today! And while I was pondering to share with you and your readers my world famous apple pancake recipe, I reconsidered to something slightly more…visual! I’d like to share with you how you can make short, fun, and quirky videos for your friends and family…or if you’re a writer, you can use it to make a book trailer!

All you need are a couple of pictures!

Animoto is free to use. If you’d like more options for your videos, there are two different pay models starting at $5 per month–by the way, I am not getting paid to promote their service! But I’ve used Animoto in the past to create book trailers and think they provide amazing value for a free service.

Lots of video templates to pick from–including music.

Head over to Animoto’s site and create a free account. Pick one of their many ready made video templates that fits your intended style. Upload your personal images from your desktop. You will be able to drag and drop your images in the order you prefer. Add a few words of text to complement the images. Then preview your video!

Arrange your images and text within the video.

Using Animoto, I made a quick video for and about Darlene to express my thanks for being a guest on her blog today! I’ve used the template “Watercolor Seashore” and the music is called “The Big Happy.”

Thank you, Darlene, for inviting me to your blog today!
